As we approach the end of 2011 we can reflect on our achievements. The renaming and dedication by the Mayor, the Annual Meeting and our end of year get together provided a time to celebrate, reflect and enjoy each other’s company.

Please remember that the success of the Open Day is due to the planning and effort of so many. This Newsletter publishes the results for each of our fund raising areas but space does not allow acknowledgement of the teams such as Promotions and Logistics, and we can’t readily identify all the members and friends who propagated and sewed and sowed and watered and cooked and, well, just did stuff!Read about the success of our Open Day, catch up on the last S355 meeting and don’t forget the end of year Annual Meeting and Get Together.

We’re a fortnight away from delivering our entry to this year’s Royal Easter Show. We have to present at least five different vegetables and many Members are growing vegetables despite the cooler weather. Saturday 12 February saw a new beginning for the garden. Despite the bad weather, a large number of members attended the garden to elect the first Section 355 Committee for the Wentworthville Community Garden.We were joined by the Mayor of Holroyd City, Councillor Peter Monaghan and North Ward Councillor Vasee Rajadurai.
